How to do the Exercise

Step 1: Keep both feet firmly on the floor while standing. Hold both TRX handles out perpendicular to the body. Lean your body forward depending on your desired inclination.

Step 2: Extend the hands above the head by raising your arms. This requires control of the movement.

Step 3: Retain the position for a moment. One repetition can be completed once the body returns to the starting position.


  • The level of difficulty can be adjusted when the inclined body begins at a greater angle from vertical position.
  • Control of the whole movement needs to be maintained during the execution of the exercise.
  • To refrain from incurring injury, stretching is required before performing the exercise.


The TRX Superman is a calisthenics exercise that primarily targets the lats muscles. It also targets the chest and shoulders secondarily.

The only equipment needed in this exercise is the TRX suspension.
